Small Market Meetings Conference speaker discusses online RFPs
SHREVEPORT, La. – McNeel Keenan will reveal some insider industry tips on how to streamline events in his presentation “Dispelling Myths About Online RFPs” at the Small Market Meetings Conference Oct. 4–6, in Shreveport, La. Keenan is a senior sales executive for Cvent, which provides registration, meetings management, site selection, venue sourcing and Web survey solutions for meeting planners.
The seminar will examine how to use online requests and proposals for planners and suppliers to easily connect with each other. Keenan also will discuss how to maximize return on investment through real-time reporting and accessible meeting history.
He also plans to cover how to use advanced technology for meeting planning and how to use negotiation tactics to get the best bids and save money.
Keenan joined Cvent in 2007. He has presented Cvent’s event management system to thousands of meeting planners, including presentations at more than 50 meeting industry events in 2009. He also represents several smaller markets for Cvent, including Shreveport.
The other scheduled speakers are Vicki Rosebrook, executive director of the nonprofit Macklin Intergenerational Institute, and Lesley Kyle, certified meeting professional and senior event manager for the Society of Plastics Engineers. Rosenbrook’s seminar, “Xtreme Aging,” will cover the needs of the baby-boom meeting attendee. Kyle will discuss the use of social media in meeting planning.
